My chiaroscuro drawings are the result of absorbing the forms of the drawn subject, and restating them in charcoal. The process of restating changes my understanding of the subject and its emotional weight.
My head drawings are the result of an unspoken interaction with the model. To capture someone’s attitude is more of a free-fall than a strategic approach.
