JJ Tang is an oil painter who was born and raised in Guangzhou, a city in southern China. He moved to the United States at the age of 15 to pursue his education, completing both high school and college there. He earned his undergraduate degree at the Academy of Art University and began his graduate studies in 2025. His works primarily focus on oil paintings of animals and people. He seeks to convey deeper meanings by depicting realistic narratives for figure paintings.

Additionally, he is an emerging biblical-themed painter.
