With a background in traditional Korean music, I hold a degree in Traditional Korean Music with the instrument, Gayageum, which provided me with a strong foundation in musical expression, rhythm, and cultural storytelling. During my undergraduate studies, I developed a growing interest in how sound contributes to narrative beyond the concert stage, particularly in the context of visual media. This interest evolved into a passion for sound design, leading me to pursue further education in the United States.
Currently, I am specializing in sound design with a focus on Foley, post-production audio, and sound for film and interactive media. My experience in traditional music allows me to approach sound with a unique sensitivity to timbre, dynamics, and emotional nuance. I have worked on various projects that include sound editing, Foley recording, and environmental sound capture, applying both technical skills and creative storytelling to enhance audiovisual experiences.
As I continue to grow in the field, my goal is to contribute to the film and game industries as a professional sound designer and Foley artist. I am committed to using sound as a powerful narrative tool that deepens audience engagement and supports the emotional depth of visual storytelling.
