Fine Art – Painting / Master of Fine Arts (MFA)

Mark began his career with a BS in Math from the United States Naval Academy and served as a military pilot followed with a career as a commercial airline pilot with American Airlines. He is currently a full-time MFA Painting student.
He is creating a portfolio of paintings that depict the residue of human creativity which exists in maker-spaces during their after-hour periods of inactivity. These local spaces in Mark’s town of Sonoma, California are filled with tools and materials that relate the unique story of how each artisan creates their craft. Examples of such spaces are a metal sculptor’s studio, florist’s warehouse, leather goods maker’s workshop, and an artisan cheesemaker’s facility.
