Art has always played a massive role in my life. There is very little that my art and identity as an artist does not impact, it has truly been an inseparable part of my person for as long as I’ve existed. I always knew I would end up pursuing something in the arts, though it wasn’t until I got a bit older that I decided what path to take. It was my senior year of high school that I decided I wanted to become an art teacher. Art has provided me with so much. Through art I have found love and belonging, it was through art I found my voice. If I do nothing else with my time on this Earth, I want to positively impact the children I work with and pass on the passion I have for art.

Multimedia Video:
Something just about everyone looks forward to with the changing seasons is the changing of the leaves. With this fun and interactive project, students will get to create their own autumn leaves using crayons and watercolor paint. Because the crayons are made out of wax, they will react with the water-based paint and leave the drawings untouched by the color. As a class, we will learn how to utilize reference images while drawing, formating a full-page project, crayon color options, and watercolor painting techniques like creating a gradient.
