Guillermo De Anda is a sound designer with experience in the areas of film, videogames, TV, radio, and digital media. Born and raised in Mexico City, he developed an interest in how sound is used to communicate and its great importance in storytelling. Having a strong interest in both film and music, he fulfilled his undergraduate studies in Communications and Digital Media, where he discovered his ability to easily comprehend and translate narrative thoughts and emotions into sound. He later graduated from Vancouver Film School as a Sound Designer for Visual Media and is now pursuing his MFA in Sound Design at Academy of Art University in San Francisco. He excels by his use of editing tools such as Pro Tools and iZotope RX for editing and manipulating multiple types of recordings, as well as designing sounds. He also has experience mixing in surround formats and his main area of expertise is sound editing for film as well as designing specific sound elements for different types of media such as radio and videogames. He has experience in production sound as a boom operator and sound mixer, as well as experience as a foley editor for film, and audio implementation with tools such as Wwise and FMOD for projects in both Unity and Unreal Engine. He has a strong audio post-production background that has been developing over the years with a combination of his academic endeavors as well as various projects.
