Interior design for me is a chance to explore the relationships between space, materiality, and the human experience. It is storytelling, it is placemaking, it is creativity in its truest form to be experienced in the built environment. Interior design can shape experiences, emotions, and functionality. As designers we get the opportunity to see people through understanding how they envision the world around them and making that come to life. This project specifically allowed me to explore the artistic community in the city I grew up in. It allowed me to understand its needs and relate those needs to greater ideals around wellness and wellbeing, and then finding the perfect balance between both. Creating a harmonious environment that is inspiring and personalized to each spaces purpose.
